Freeport Rejects Divestment Plan
FREEPORT-McMoRan has rejected Indonesia’s divestment scheme for its subsidiary company Freeport Indonesia, because the plan is considered unprofitable to the two parties. In a letter addressed to the finance ministry at the end of September, Freeport described the government as inconsistent.
