RUPIAH faced turbulence two weeks ago. Market players attributed this to the planned year-end US dollar rate hike, and the down-trending rupiah interest rate a few months ago. The currency, which in mid-October, was at Rp13,476 per US dollar, sharply weakened to Rp13,609 by month-end.
