Some banks are offering banking services through digital smartphone applications. They are challenging conventional services provided by major banks.

Tika Primandari manages her finances at the end of every month. When payday approaches, this private-sector employee goes over her list of expenses and savings.
This 29-year-old woman leaves a small portion of the salary received in her payroll account for her daily needs. She transfers the rest to a Jenius banking account which she opened two years ago. "I redistribute this money to the Jenius account," said Tika at the end of May.
