A griculture Ministry’s Director-General for Horticulture, Suwandi, has been pushing for garlic imports. On Monday, May 13, this recommendation was issued for two companies to import some 30,000 tons of garlic. The following day, a similar document was prepared for another company. He had already recommended eight companies to import garlic in March, and another 11 in April.
