Krakatau Steel’s independent commissioner Roy Maningkas only laughed when asked about the status of his position in the country’s largest steel concern. Roy had no idea whether the state-owned enterprises (SOEs) ministry had approved his resignation as commissioner. “I have not received a written reply,” said Roy over the telephone on Tuesday, July 30.
