GMF AeroAsia’s technicians are systematically removing engines from the Sriwijaya Air fleet starting on September 25. This maintenance and repair subsidiary of Garuda Indonesia is forced to do this since Sriwijaya has failed to pay its rental fees. A total of five engine units were removed from four Sriwijaya aircrafts. One plane used two rental engines.
