It is almost certain that the cross-transaction between Indosat and Telkom for the Central Java and Yogyakarta region (Regional Division IV) will fail. Employees have taken to the streets. Will it be Indosat that loses out?

THESE DAYS, many of the employees of PT Telkom in Central Java and Yogyakarta (Regional Division IV) are to be seen demonstrating. The directory enquiries (108) service is still being provided but no notice is taken whatsoever as regards customer complaints or requests for new telephone lines. The current action is thought to involve between 3,000 and 5,000 of Telkom's employees—some of whom even took their case to Jakarta and Bandung
