RETAILERS offered huge discounts as Indonesia celebrated its 75th independence anniversary. The Association of Shopping Mall Tenants, for example, organized Indonesian Discount Shopping Days for two weeks between August 14 and 30. It offered deals related to ‘75’, from 75 percent price slashing to a Rp75,000 discount. There were also ‘buy-one-get-one-free’ offers for culinary, fashion, and beauty products.
