JUDGE Susanti Adi Wibawani read out a verdict on the Asuransi Jiwasraya case at the Jakarta Corruption Court on Monday, October 12, making it only the fourth corruption case in the past two decades that ended in life sentences. The verdict that evening also deemed that corruption took place at Jiwasraya and confirmed that money laundering crime (TPPU) that cost the state some Rp16.8 trillion took place.
