The government is fast-tracking the transition from LPG-fueled cookers to induction stoves running on electricity as gas price soars. It is the middle ground taken to boost the absorption of PLN’s electricity.

GUSTI Ayu Anom Ernawati was still getting the hang of using the new electric stove in her kitchen. When Tempo visited her home in Banjar Ceramcam, Denpasar, Bali, on Thursday, August 4, Ayu Anom was trying out the two-burner induction stove.
