DORODJATUN Kuntjoro-Jakti is not a new name among the economists. Born in Rangkasbitung, November 25, 1939, he was Dean of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Indonesia. Unlike his seniors who also graduated from University of California in Berkeley, he never held any ministerial posts during the New Order. His previous post, granted by former President Suharto, was as ambassador to the US in Washington, DC.
