Irregularities in Garlic Import Permit Issuance

GARLIC prices continue to increase. Since April, the price of the horticultural commodity has reached Rp31,830 (about US$2.2) per kilogram, up 4 percent compared to the same month in 2022. From month to month, the price refused to go down. Towards the end of October, the price of garlic reached Rp36,550 (US$2.4) per kilogram, a 44 percent increase compared to the same month last year.
