The State Audit Agency discovers problems in Freeport Indonesia’s smelter project. The company manages to avoid paying late fines.
STATE-OWNED Enterprises (SOEs) Minister Erick Thohir caught the right moment to ask about the completion of Freeport Indonesia’s construction of a mineral smelter in Gresik, East Java. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of Smelting’s factory expansion, which is also located in Gresik, on December 14, Erick made a quip at Freeport-McMoRan Chairman Richard Adkerson, who flew there from the United States.
