Turmoil jolted Europe last week. As the oil price kept rising, hundreds of large trucks blockaded over 100 oil depots in France, causing most petrol stations across the country to run out of supplies. As a result, traffic came to a standstill, flight schedules went awry and buyers rushed to supermarkets to buy up daily necessities, fearing there would be scarcity.
