Berdikari and Perusahaan Perdagangan Indonesia, or PPI, should have been able to realize meat imports early this year. However, both companies are slow to import the commodity. Until Wednesday, April 9, 2025, Berdikari and PPI had only imported 1,306 tons of beef, or 1.3 percent of their annual quota of 100,000 tons. Meanwhile, water buffalo meat import realization remains at zero.
