Syafruddin: Salim has Paid in Full

Head of IBRA, Syafruddin Temenggung, declares that Salim's debts to the government have been paid in full. However, this is still on the agenda for discussion at the KKSK forum, slated for two days before Idul Fitri.

The tangled web of the Salim Group's debts had yet to be unraveled, when Head of the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (IBRA), Syafruddin Temenggung, declared two weeks ago that all debts had been paid in full. His stance raised questions and suspicions. "I don't understand why Syaf is so passionate in his desire to have the Salim Group declared to have fulfilled its obligations," says economist from Indef, Dradjad Wibowo.
