AFTER all the suspense, top Indonesian banks such as Bank Mandiri, Bank Danamon and Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) last week could only watch as Permata Bank slipped out of their grasps. The state asset disposal company PT Perusahaan Pengelola Aset (PPA) announced the names of the consortia that have the right to go forward to the next round in the tender for the sale of a 51 percent share in Permata Bank.
