THE airline business now seems to be even more difficult than in the past. In 2001, the national flag carrier PT Garuda Indonesia recorded revenues of Rp10.28 trillion and the following year these dipped to Rp9.86 trillion. Recently however, Garuda's performance has worsened. Last year, Garuda's revenues were only in the region of Rp8 trillion.
