In the past two years, wood products from Indonesia has had a difficult time getting into the European market. The problem has not been competitiveness, but a regulations regarding the conservation of tropical forests. The European countries are now only accepting wood products that carry eco-labelling certification, proving that they originate from sustainable forests.
