THERE are many ways to "conquer" the after-effects of terrorist bombings. Activists may schedule street parades or scatter flowers. Politicians will issue statements condemning the bombers. Religious people lead prayers. But at the stock exchange, in the wake of the last three bombings, there are many who have dipped deep into their pockets to buy up shares, sold in panic by owners when the bomb exploded.
