The lobby of the building which houses the Department for Stateowned Enterprises (SOEs) looks more like a warehouse. It is spacious, but deserted and dim, with a high ceiling. In one corner are rows of sofas—with filthy brown cushions that are torn and its spongy foam ripped—stacked atop one another. Far from the image of an agency that is responsible for the Rp850 trillion assets of the country.
