The Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSE) has been the best performing bourse in the region for the first half of the year. The exchange's joint share price index (JSPI) has left stock markets in other Asian countries trailing in its wake. Since January, share prices in Jakarta have increased by an average of 25 percent.
