THE year 2003 has been a year of shame for Indonesian banking. From the beginning of the year up until now, the industry that only four years ago was restored to health by the government at a cost of more than Rp600 trillion has continued to be hit by several cases of fraud using obsolete methods and with inside help. What is even more saddening is the fact that this classic method had been successfully carried out several times by the same gang.
