THE multipurpose building of Jakartas State General High School (SMUN) 68 was stuffy. Four air-conditioners and two fans seemed inadequate to freshen the air in the room measuring 10 meters by 20 meters. The clamor to express grievances added to the rooms stale atmosphere.
This building was where a meeting between students parents, the school committee, and the school principal took place on Thursday. The agenda: the admission fee for new students
