IT was a hot afternoon on Wednesday last week as Pangus Ho told of his experiences taking part in the Asia Physics Olympics in Almaty, Kazakhstan, on April 22-26. Once in a while, the 17-year-old would slake his thirst with water.

A second-year student at the 3rd Penabur Christian Senior High School in Jakarta, Pangus received a gold medal and won The Best Experimental awardfor a perfect score on experimentsat the prestigious science competition.
