For the past four months Melvin Hutabarat has avoided going to parties. A post-graduate student at University of Indonesia's faculty of social and political sciences, Melvin chose to concentrate on books. He had no time to hang out with fellow students at the canteen in the university, which is located at Depok, a small town outside Jakarta.
