Mochamad Indrawan, a researcher of conservation biology at the Indonesian Association of Ornithologists, said that the Banggai Islands area of Central Sulawesi is rich with untouched land and marine biodiversity. Flora nad fauna in the tropical forest in that area are yet to be studied by researchers, especially the ecosystem of seaweed fields and coral reefs in its waters.
