With the coral reefs around Aceh regaining their vigor, lost in the 2004 tsunami, another lethal phenomenon is emerging: a bleaching process caused by warming of the Andaman Sea.

WHEN Dr Edi Rudi, a researcher from Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh, dived in Sabang Island waters in the middle of last year, he already observed colorful corals there, presenting a gorgeous view.
