A Memorandum of Understanding signed on December 20 by senior government officialsincluding Forestry Minister Zulkifli Hasan, Minister of Environment Balthasar Kambuaya, Finance Minister Agus Martowardojo, Attorney General Basrief Arief, Indonesia Police Chief Timur Pradopo and Chairman of the Center for Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis (PPATK) Muhammad Yusufaims to improve law enforcement in the forestry sector.
