Rescue Mission for Indonesian Coral

Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Minister Susi Pudjiastuti has unveiled a plan to scale-up the preservation of Indonesia's ailing coral reefs, with hopes to expand protected waters from the current 16.4 million hectares to 20 million by 2020.
Indonesia is home to over half of the coral reefs contained in an 6 million-kilometer aquatic zone in the South Pacific known as the 'Coral Triangle', where more than three-quarters of the globe's coral species are found.
