Waiting for Norway

Norway has not yet released US$56 million to Indonesia under the REDD+ arrangement. Negotiators from both countries are still deliberating the matter.
INDONESIA has some greenhouse gas reduction schemes in the Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD+) program. One of them is a cooperation program with Norway, for which a letter of intent was signed on May 26, 2010. There is also cooperation with the Green Climate Fund and the World Bank’s Forest Carbon Partnership Facility (FCPF) Carbon Fund.
