USING stilts, Herman, 48, was busily trimming fronds off the old oil palm trees on his land. The resident of Air Merah village, Malin Deman subdistrict, Mukomuko Regency, Bengkulu, owns a four-hectare oil palm plantation. “There are around 500 oil palm trees, which are capable of producing two to four tons every month,” said the father of three when visited by Tempo in his plantation on Saturday, June 3.
