RAHMATIA hurriedly took out Rp10,000 (around US$0.62) from her blouse pocket. The resident living near the Sagea River in North Weda, Central Halmahera, North Maluku, promptly gave the money to the seller of water in jar containers on a pickup truck visiting her village. “We have to buy (the water) quickly. If we are late, we won’t get any,” she said to Tempo, October 24.
