Located 2,655 meters above sea level at the eastern edge of the West Java volcanic belt, Mount Papandayan overlooks a beautiful panorama—a lush green expanse of tea plantations and patches of edelweiss crowned by the three craters of Kawah Mas, Kawah Manuk and Kawah Nangklak. Two other craters, Tegal Alun-Alun and Tegal Brungbung, skirt the volcanic mountain just 28 kilometers from the city of Garut.
