The Voice of the People organization has received an award from pioneering environmental NGO Walhi, for its consistent struggle to protect the environment.

He doesn't say much, in fact he hardly reacts at all, but his smile remains. He's 74-year-old Musa Gurning from Porsea in the regency of Tobasamosir, North Sumatra. His lack of reaction is despite the fact that Voice of the People—the environmental organization of which he is the driving force—has just received the ‘Walhi Award’, a symbol of appreciation from the Indonesian Forum for the Environment (Walhi).
