An HIV Sufferer Fights Back

WHO would have thought that the 23-year-old dimunitive woman, attractive and ever smiling, is HIV-positive. Two years ago the world seemed to collapse on Putu Ika Widari. I was then declared positive with HIV, says the Bali-born woman.

But Ika refused to let the virus wear her down. She fought back and in the process turned herself into an AIDS activist. She told her story in a recent interview with Tempos Rofiqi Hasan.
