MARIANA Renata rushed between her dressing room and the set at Studio Obscura in Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta late last May, changing her wardrobe no less than three times. Every now and then, she touched up her makeup with a brush.

She wanted to look her best performing in a new role. This was not her usual modeling job or spot performance in a commercial. This was for a social justice campaign. "This is pro bono," the 32-year-old said.
