Richard Lewis has lived most of his life in Bali. As a nine-year old boy, Richard was an eyewitness to the madness that swept over the island after communists killed six army generals on the night of September 30, 1965, in Jakarta. He attended grade school in Bandung, Java, in the 1960s and high school in the Cameron Highlands, Malaysia, in the 1970s.
