With his bushy beard, a pipe and a pouch of Neptune brand tobacco within arm's reach, Jaap Erkelens stands out in the central Jakarta café set. "The tobacco is delivered by a friend still living in Holland," he says. Puffing away on his pipe and holding up a glossy photo of a recent book launch, Jaap smiles, approving the photographer's shot.
