NINE wind turbines stand atop the highest peak of Nusa Penida Island, Bali. The 500-meter-tall Puncak Mendi hill provides stunning view to all directions: the Indonesian Ocean in the South, the Lombok Island in the East, and Gunung Agung, the tallest mountain in Bali, in the North. From the distance, the 30-meter-tall wind turbines with their three 18-meter-diameter propeller blades are a majestic sight.
