THE building is located on Jalan Pintu Besar Utara 3, North Jakarta, across from the Kota Railway Station and the Transjakarta bus terminal in downtown Old City. Formerly called De Javasche Bank and established in 1828, it served as the central bank with authority to print money. After independence, this building became Bank Indonesia.
