The Jakarta Tour Green Map is the first of its kind in the world made on the basis of public transportation lanes—such maps are normally based on zones. The map, launched in the middle of March, enlivened and at the same time became part of the Green Map System, which marked its 14th anniversary on March 25. The system encompasses public movements in various (small) zones in the world, which describe their areas with universal Green Map icons. In Indonesia, the Green Map movement was initiated in 2000. So far its volunteers have produced various such maps as Olden Jakarta, Menteng, Kebayoran, Borobudur, Kota Gede, Yogyakarta, Bukittinggi, and Aceh.
