Among the row of shop-houses on Jalan Gardu Jati in Bandung, building No. 31 stands out. The structure, painted flaming red, houses a tailor shop called Avis Taylor. The owner, Tjio Pwie, said the space used to be occupied by a cassette store where one could order customized recordings. The store closed in 1988.
