New Road for the Bikers Brotherhood

For 25 years the Bikers Brotherhood has been the most feared motorcycle club in Bandung. Once widely known for their brutality and fondness for roadside brawls, the brotherhood has now turned over a new leaf. Its members have become actively involved in community-building, from helping victims of natural disasters to caring for folk art and historic buildings.

On the evening of Saturday, April 5, the traffic on Bandung's Jalan Braga was at a standstill. A policeman seemed at a loss trying to bring some order to the solid mass.
