Rainbow Warrior lay at anchor at Jakarta's Tanjung Priok port late in January. The ship owned by the environmental group Greenpeace was on a mission to gather evidence of illegal logging and the theft of timber in the Kalimantan forests.
Over the years Greenpeace has roamed the seas stalking environmental offenders, earning in the process praises and abuses alike.
For two weeks TEMPO's I G.G. Maha Adi sailed with the Rainbow Warrior in Kalimantan waters. Following is his report.
