THE monochrome picture is blurred. Taken in 1971, it may have been poorly reproduced or its negative too old: the photo of founders of Greenpeace on the deck of Phyllis Cormack. The decrepit boat owned by these longhaired people has historic value. They were planning a voyage to Amchitka and Aleutian, the coral island group near Alaska, where America tested nuclear bombs.
