THE discovery of the Buni site staggered the archaeology world in 1960-70. At that time, archaeologists and thousands of residents from Bekasi and its surrounding areas vied against each other to discover the treasuregold, to be exactin the location. A number of residents handed over their finds to the National Museum voluntarily. Several archaeologists came down and worked shoulder-to-shoulder with the local residents to save the Buni site. Incl
