THE welcoming dance Ranup Lampuan marked the start of the procession at the fish auction center at Kuala Kiran, Jangkabuya district, in the Aceh regency of Pidie, Thursday last week. The dancers, young women and children, were welcoming regent Mirza Ismail who came to present 26 fiberglass boats to the local fishermen. A boat was symbolically presented to one of the recipients as others watched with smiles on their faces.
