BAD weather and huge waves hit the southern coasts of Java and Sumatra for the past fortnight. According to data compiled by the Meteorology & Geophysics Agency (BMG) the maximum height of the waves reached 7 meters with the wind blowing at a speed of 15-20 knots. The same condition wa also found in the northern coastal areas of Java.
