ENI Faleomavaega, Chairman, Sub-Committee on Asia Pacific of the US Congress, was barred by the Indonesian government from visiting Papua. However, he was received on Thursday last week by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono at the Presidential Palace. Faleomavaega called on the President to pay more attention to the needs of the Papuan people or otherwise grant them independence.
